The Livro para Voar [Book to Fly] movement was created in Brazil by ALE to facilitate the free exchange of books and, thus, encourage the democratization of reading in the country. It was inspired by an initiative that emerged in the USA (Bookcrossing) and today is popular in several countries around the world.
The idea is that people take the books for free, take them home, read and “lose” the books again, so that they can be found by other readers. Books can be left in any public place and, of course, at the ALE Stations or other release points.
The movement’s main objective is the democratization of reading. ALE believes that it is easy and simple to multiply access to books throughout the country, it is enough for people to let go of the copies they no longer use and release them, so that other readers can also enjoy them.
Livro para Voar [Book to Fly]. Be sure to adopt this idea!
